Hey guys just a quick question when my mate starts his car up it spits fuel (i think) out of his exhaust. Is this just un burnt fuel??

Take a sniff. If you feel high all of a sudden, its probably petrol

welcome to my world!
super rich cold start - although mine comes out as wet black liquid, because the petrol is re-condensing in the exhaust before it warms up.
unless you're like me and can cover the car behind you in dirty petrol it's pretty normal for cars to run rich on start-up - protects the engine.

Carbon Depoist coming out of exhaust. I think it's pretty normal but. My WB ute did the same thing when it was cold so did a mates TD Gemini. Both cars still get about and seem too run fine

my ke38 corolla does it n the engine was rebuilt in 2002. so not to much to worry about.
