My ae86 steering wheel is vibrating pretty bad (aftermarket momo wheel on, if it helps at all) and I thought it was the wheel alignment but it went for a wheel alignment and it is still shaking. What would be next to check?

I would do all the simple tasks first, get wheels balanced properly.
My wheels are balanced and the wheel alignment is correct, castor is a little high but thats cool.
I still have this little wobble it comes and go's over 100km, it will sorta wobble for 2-3 secs then stop for 2-3 secs then come back. The faster i go the more violent the wobbles.
Any thoughts. It has new control arm bushes/sway bar link pin and bushes/ reco steering rack.
Cheers

Wheel bearings. My steering wobbles a lot less than it used to with new bearings. It's worth a try.
