Thoses Ferrinos look crap. The dimensions are no good. The car is too high and too narrow to be making a ferrari out of it.

thats whats wrong have a look at the length between door and wheel very different the guard on the mock up flares out to much etc. To add to that the nose of the real deal is longer and the angle that it drops not as sudden.

id rather spend my life saving on a ferrari than waste money on the replica. Think about it by the time you go through the conersion it would owe you 20K then peformance mods etc to make it decent you are looking at probably 80K for an mr2. I'd rather get a basic car and save a couple more years for the real thing. Still like to see the face on the thieves when they still your ferrari only to find out its a toyota.

i wouldn't buy either though ferrari's just don't do it for me they are way to overpriced for the performance lambo or porshe for me anyday they are the real performance bargains Truthfully i'd just get an audi business class ride with supercar peferformance. An rs4 can be had for around 100K or less 20 k on performance mods and it would eat any ferrari and still be the greatest family hack eva.
Note to self start saving like buggery so when my uncle sells his rs4 i can buy it.

Not saying I'd do/buy a replica either, just pointing out the cuteness of the MR-2 355

What you don't get with the replica, and this is is the bit that'd stop me - the SOUND of a Ferrari. Not to everyone's taste I know, but that flat-plane crank V8 spinning past 8,000rpm through open exhausts - GOLD !
