Rims to fit ln106/pug/xt130 upgrade Tue, 29 March 2005 12:06 Go to next message
Sorry to seem like such a noob, but i was just wondering what size rim, and offset would i need to suit the upgrade. i tried a search, but all i got were dead ends. i remember reading somewhere it was a 15" rim but i'm not 100% sure. also what offset would be recommended?
thanks in advance
Mario

I know I have said in one of my old posts that I have got the original 14x5.5 32mm offset steel RA23/28 rims to fit over my Hilux/Pug/Corona upgrade with just a light skim off the inside edge of the rim with an angle grinder in the two places it rubbed the calipers.
Also, 15x6 20mm offset Soarer rims fit fine over this brake upgrade.

Hang on - let me read my post again and then go and look at the rims on my car in the garage........ Rolling Eyes

Nope, mid-80's Soarer (MZ20/GZ20) are 15 x 6 20mm offset 4 x 114.3 PCD, and they fit fine on Corona hats bolted to Pug rotors on Corona struts with Hilux calipers.

The 30 series Soarer's, released in 1991 I believe, are 5 stud rims.

Hmmm, another mid-80's 4 stud 114.3 PCD 15 inch rim, not unusual at all then !

Very Happy

Ok im sort of comming at this from a similar angle..
I wouldn't mind doing this on my sprinter but need to stick to 14in rims..

Exactly how many and what sizes fit?

Only one of my 14" rims fit sofar, and they are Cheviot hotwires, and even then only one pair. having another pair modified so they will fit properly. Im hoping that Konig Rewinds will fit as well.
