1UZ-FE auto vs 7MGE auto Thu, 31 March 2005 06:55 Go to next message
Does anyone know if the filter on the 1uzfe auto (A341E) is the same as the 7MGE auto (A340E).

I'm 99% sure it will be, I just want to make sure before I order one.
Any idea what they cost?

Also, is it possible to flush all of the old tranny fluid out of a torque convertor while its off?
Or will I just have to put up with the 1/2-1L or so that floating around in it at the moment?
I'm pretty sure its got DII/III in there at the moment, and I want to convert it to Type IV. I'd like to get all the D out.

It's the output shaft which is different. Not sure what that has to do with the filter though...

Output shaft is the same. (unless you get the 3 bolt thingo)
Its only the A43DE and back that are smaller.

They are different and there are two types of trans pan in the V8 which means two types of filter I had to give a sample (of the filter) to a trans specialist and he had the right one by that afternoon I think it was about $35.00
hope this helps
MATT.

Yeah, thanks matt.

That was my next plan.

Remove it and take it to get a replacement.

Maybe I'll see if it has a part number on it.

Just a quick follow up to this.

I got the new filter today.
I just got it matched.

Guy said it was from a 93-on Lexus A340E

Part Number AFX-90011
