5SFE running rough

Hi all,
I have always had N/A cars so im learning about EFI etc.
I hava a 96 auto Widebody Camry with a 5SFE in it. The car has done 189000km when we bought the car it went fine for a 4 cyl and idled fine but in the last 2-3000km the idle has dropped and now runs rough the car also seems to be lacking a bit of power compared to what it use to have .
I did a service on the trans and engine changing plugs, oil, filter etc a bit over 5000km ago and was running ok after that.
I ran a diagnostic on the computer to see if there were any faults anywhere and nothing came up. I noticed the timing was a bit retarded 2 deg so i fixed that at the same time.
Could the fuel filter be causing the problem? I have also run injector cleaner through the car and that didnt help at all.
So the question is what could be wrong with the engine why would the idle be low and how do i fix it?
