4AGZE/4AGE iridum/platinum plugs?

Hi all,
Not really a tech topic, but just wanting to know what is the genuine toyota part number for the iridum/platinum plugs for the 4AGZE number?
Did a search, couldnt find anything on the plugs for the original toyota iridiums or platinums. All i found was NGK part numbers for the ZE. Need the toyota genuine part for these (Denso im pretty sure)!
This may also be the same plugs as the 4AGE motor.
Using NGK copper plugs currently on the ZE, and its no good at all. I need to grab the iridiums or platinums ASAP, so your replies are much needed!
Cheers

Why can't you use the NGK platinum plugs for the 4A-GZE ?
I have these in my 1G-GZE.

Note on spark plugs.
I've had much input from particular ignition specialists, and the common advice is to use plugs that do NOT have the -R- in their name.
IE BE8C
NOT BE8C-R
as an example. Because the R plugs have a higher internal resistance (by many ohms) and will reduce spark energy
The reason for their existance is to protect factory ignition systems and more importantly ECU's from flow back current from the spark plugs blowing the ECU.
In the case of the more expensive plugs,
I simply just use the cheap standard NON - R plugs in my 1G. The only pit fall is that the standard plugs fowl up quicker. So I replace them more often. But at the boost levels and fuel setup I run, it doesn't make a lick of difference, I'd be replaceing them anyway.

Cheers stradlater, thanks for the advice - i will take note of that when i purchace my plugs.
I have a iginition problem in my 4AGZE, and i'd just prefer to use genunie toyota parts thanks aftermarkets ones at least until i fix the problem thats all.
I've been using the copper plugs since importing my car, and the ignition problem has only gotten worse. I really am looking to get the model number or either iridium or platnium plugs of teh genunie toyota part, if that fails, NGK platinum or iridium for the 4AGZE would be fine
Cheers

Why buy Nippon Denso platinums from toyota? Cause they are almost half the price as NGK is from an auto parts store!
The Denso part number is PK20R-8
The Toyota part number is 90919-01180

Perfect, thanks TE72_Turbo,
Do you know the main differences when comparing the Nippon Denson to the Genunie Toyota ones? Quality-wise? Price-wise?
Whats a better way to go? NGK, Denso or Genunie Toyota?
Cheers

Genuine toyota ARE Nippon Denso. Toyota has no involvement in the manufacturing process, they simply re-box them in toyota boxes with toyota part numbers
I have found no performance or quality difference between NGK & Denso platinum plugs.....

NGK tests show that the Resistance does very little to the spark energy, it just reduces the current a little, and reduces the electrical noise emitted, which is/can be important when you have sensors nearby.
the reason for Pt/Ir plugs (iridium is a platinum group metal is sometimes substituted for platinum in alloys as it is fuckloads cheaper), is because they wear away a lot slower. they can still foul like normal plugs. the design of the electrodes is also very different, with the Pt/Ir plus having amuch finer centre electrode, which supposedly gives the initial flame greater access to the surrounding mixture etc etc...
in reality, they are good if you only want to change your plugs every 100,000km's or so. afaik there is not really much performance gain to be had.
what are your plug gaps at now? too big a gap will produce poorer firing than a smaller gap... unless you have an uber coil...

Thanks TE72_Turbo, feral4mr2 and oldcorollas for the very useful/informative input. Much needed
My plugs currently are gapped at about 1mm, but will prob drop it to the .8mm region like what feral4mr2 said.
Cheers

The toyota part number for the plugs to suit a 4AGE, (might be the same as the GZE, they are Platunm tipped) is
90919 01121.
I just purchased them, you are looking at $12.40 (without discount) for EACH plug, Yes they are DENSO.

GZEs will run fine on stock NGK copper plugs at 1.1mm gap, thats what i use to test all my new engines. Cheaper than fouling up good plugs.
