hey mate nice to see your getting back on your feet. just a question why have you stitch welded all the joins? ive noticed my sprinter is startin to bend at the join near the front struts. A mate of mine said its from excessive dorfito well in my case attempted dorifto and that i should stitch weld it all up. Is this the reason you have welded the joins in your build up?

UPDATE

Today i got bored and saw a hammer lying around... quite a dangerous thing when your bored. So anyway 5 hours later and i have ended up with flared gaurds, they have been pumped quite a harge amount acctually and its quite easy once you get the hang of things. I have yet to finish it but needless to say i'll post some pics up in the next few days or so.

Along with the gaurd's i have finished seamwelding and have braced and re-enforced some common twisting areas (thanks adam) with sheet steel and welding (thanks steve) I have also welded most of the inside of the car also. exactally how much this will do is unsure but it cant hurt (except for some small holes i made hehe)

anyway in the next week i shall be making some front coilovers using some shocks that i will be getting off a mate (thanks josh) these will be fitted with JDM brakes, no need for anything larger, who brakes while drifting... really now.

along the way i shall be fitting my diff in also, then final shell prep for paint will happen about this time, hopefully my kit and engine arrive soon eh Wink

Hey Simon

And remember, putting last week behind us, i am still happy to help you with the exhaust on the car.

And if you want to use the hoist to do all the underside welding you are also welcome.

thanks guys

colour is not definate yet as i still have something else in mind.

I eventually plabn on running 15X9 rims all round. but cannot afford to purchase them just yet

as so i will continue to run the existing rims i have, just with extra spacers this time.

hard to saw how much extra my flares have added, but guessing 40mm each side Wink

nightdevil: If you have a inch to play with, I wouldnt be using longer studs and slip on spacers, just get some bolt on ones.

Those flares are probably the best looking ones done with the orig metal I have seen..

Now to find rims to fill them
