helllo guys ive been offerd a 7mgte mk3 supra 1989, i know the 7ms have the problem blowing head gasgets and 2 b honest i dont know if this 1 has been replaced or not its dun 160,000kms, is ther nething to know about these cars/engine that u could b willing 2share? i just wanna learn a few things b4 i go out and buy her...ne held would b great!

ahhh right ok i took the car for a drive earlier found out shes only done 127kms but thers a weird clunking in the back diff area when u put into drive and slowly acclecrate or when u turn and slowly accelerate quite a fast bump bump bump??
waz imported into nz 96 and this lady bought it and has used it as her get 2 work shopping basket 4 9years! guessn y thats the reasn the head gasget hasnt gone....wound the idea b to tourqe the head down to the proper tourque or 2 take the head off and put a new gasget inbetween her...

ok ok sorry about that! the head gasget at the moment hasnt blown would the best option be to put a tourque wrench on her and put it down to 75ft lbs or would it be best to take off the head and put on a new gasget and head bolts?

hahathats your problem right there.
some of those dodgy NZ mechanics...theyve gone and stuck a gasget in the motor. bring it over to OZ and get someone to fit the correct gasket.

yes you can, i think it is actually the same vrs kit.
