OMG this job is AWESOME!
Ive always wonder about a Toyota 4WD performance car but a MA61 V8 AWD.....that is gonna be one hell of a beast!
Id hate to think how much this would cost if he was paying someone else to do it!?!?!?!
Theres a reason the "$" sign is above the "4".
4WD = EXPENSIVE!!

This, Jamies and a 1UZ into a 4x4 Ford Sierra would have to be some of the most insane 1UZ conversions going on.
A photo of the Sierra conversion:

He'll need to run the correct rear diff ratio as well ie the one that comes with the front cut...or he won't get far down the road at all.
|
I was just thinking (and knowing SFA about 4wd diffs) couldn't he change the front *and* rear diff at the same time to get a decent ratio going? 'cause realistically a landcrusher setup may not be ideal for 350+rwkw pulling along a car that won't weigh much over 1450kgs fully loaded

the engine and trans is from a crown majesta from memory and therefore should have decent ratios (around 3.7 i think)
the main issue is making sure the front and rear tyre diameters and diff ratios give the same combined tailshaft speed so the transfer case doesn't go bang
