I'm selling to change teams (toyota to nissan hehe) i rushed in to it, and bought before i thought
there is absolutely nothing wrong it, it made the trip back from Adelaide hassle free, and since owning it, iv already spent around $1000-$1300 on to tidy things up, all it needs is a few coats of paint.
engineering wise, i DOT think it will need much, its got a cat converter, charcoal canister, everything was done in the intention to be engineered, have papers etc from the first test or what ever its called to see what actually needs to be done, and from what i can gather, its sweet fuck all.

thanks stylus i was in melb last friday actually went down and got the unleaded filler neck pressed in.
Will be down again soonish as it will be fully road legal, and a few mates are keen on going on a MCCR cruise (havent been on one for yrs!)
other than the unleaded thingy, nothing else is really new, just new tyres, front DBA pads, heavy duty clutch, and new clutch fork, oh and new door rubbers too

okay, heres the latest news
its one step closer to getting engineered Woooooot
few things didnt pass tho, heres the list
need mudflaps.
need to change the steering wheel so it is fully padded with a minimum diameter of 330mm.
have to seal the boot abit better from the cabin area.
gotta find some stock wheels as these are to wide, need 5.5" not 6" like i have.
the harness needs to be ADR approved, of remove it completely (which i will cos its easier)
speedo needs to be connected
and gotta do the brake test
oh and find the engine number for him
other then that, its fine, so just little nit piking things, another two weeks and i'll take it back to get it engineered fully yay

Hey mate just a few questions:
Why do you need mud flaps?
Why do you have to change to 5.5"?
What diff you running?
How much was your tailshaft shortened?
Cheers

Yeah im curious why you have to put on mudflaps to
Is the 4age really a worthwhile conversion?
I only ask as since you are going to the trouble of doing a conversion that requires fitting of the motor, converting to EFI fuel system, exhaust, wiring + computer, engineering...
Wouldnt it be worth going the extra step and putting the supercharged motor in, but making it turbo instead (4agte)?

If you setup the 4age first with everything then later on you can go down the track of s/c or turbo cause it will be a lot more expensive. Thats what i'm doing.

It has a 2T with 3T crank. Also bored so it is now 2Litres Major head work. Oversized valves. A much hotter cam (its still pushrod) with twin dual throat 48mm sidedraught Webers Hopefully making around 200FWHP.
Celica five speed and a crazy alfa diff. Two inch wheel adapters (to go from 108 to 114.3 PCD) 14 X 6.5 rims. Front coil overs Noltec adj strut tops. 270mm ventilated front discs (all customised) standard alfa discs at the rear.
Also it has Cams rego from 20 years ago so I can still use an alloy roll cage instead of steel
Oh yeah its going to be a track car. And hopefully I can get it road registered...
