if its a photo uve taken on a camera n dont have ne good programs to use.. or cbf to download.

open up paint load the image and save as a .jpeg or .jpg (never remember wat it is)

this allways workx for me... it keep resolution kinda n the file size is smaller... give that a whirl

When I tried to reduce mine using Microsoft Photo Editor (all we have here at work) the resolution turned out terrible.

I downloaded a program called Easy Thumbnails from http://www.download.com for free and it worked really well for reducing the photo down to an avatar friendly size (as you can see by looking at mine).
