Plenty of people buy parts from interstate - I know I have in the past.. If I'd had to go into 6 different sections for different states then I probably wouldn't have found what I was looking for!
All it takes is for people to have the sense to post their location in their profile (and the thread) and we'll know where they're form anyway!

just have an extra column next to the adds which says what state the gear is in so you dont have to click on it to find out

or people posting adverts could simply indicate in the subject the state they live in?
e.g. 1G-GTE long block in good cond. - QLD
how hard would that be?
a few forums (twincam.org from memory) delete adverts that dont include the state in the subject

dude im not complaining...............why so grumpy

thats all...................
well when i post i put my location on the for sale title
so people like you dont need to go on my profile
anyways
this forum is a feedback section
so whats the point of having it if people just gonna treat you like ur stupid or something
everybody is entitle to their own opinion right?
well.............dis is mine
u dont have to have 6 different state u can just have
vic/tas..............coz its close to each other
NSW
SA
WA
Queensland/NT
or maybe SA/WA together
whoever runs this site can think about it
once again its just an idea

It should be a mandatory field in the sign up process that requires a VALIDlocation to be supplied or else the account will not be activated.
This is used on a lot of the other forums that i frequent and it works a charm.
There is a lot of things i may well have bought here on this site however i just get sick and tired of haveing to ask where they are from all the time..
There is no reason that they shouldnt supply this info and it would save a great deal of time.
Just as a side comment.
I administer other car related sites and all of them are no local no activation....and we are yet to recieve a complaint about that rule.
I will leave it in your capable hands.

wolverine you were identifying a problem but at the same time your contributing to it by not putting your own location in your profile. if you dont wana put ur exact address in ur profile thats fair enuf and i dont think most ppl would, but something as simple as your capital city helps. sorry to sound grumpy it jsut came across to me you were suggesting how to fix something u were complaining about but at the some time ur contributing to it.

and the easiest way to tell someones general location in a for sale thread is just by looking at there profile. It gives you an idea and then you can go from there

do you have any idea how far away SA is?
its not like its a short 1 hour drive, its a road trip.
why dont we just seperate it into the east and west coast? since we're on the subject?
every person should have to enter a local in their profile, this will solve every single problem this thread adresses.
