This is a limit set for that fact it's not making as much power beyond this thanks to the baby turbos. The 1GGEU dash I have goes orange at 7200rpm and doesn't go hard red until 7700rpm.

i got the 1g-geu. no rev limit that i can see cause i have taken it to 7750 (one light from the top) and it didn't seem to be slowing down. the lights started to go red too so i thought i should back off.

oh the other thing about going to 10,000rpm is the valve stem seals implode so you need to upgrade them Evil or Very Mad

You would also need to upgrade your valve springs in the 1g as i really doubt they can handle 10krpm without letting the valves slap pistons, not to mention that you would also prob need a big arse cam with some nice light valves. Food for thought.
