4AGE extractors Wed, 13 April 2005 02:08 Go to next message
I have a 4AGE in a KE55 and the extractors have got a hole in them. All the exhaust places I have called so far have said it is going to be difficult to find a pair and otherwise would have to do a custom job..
Does anyone know if it is actually that difficult?
And if I could give the exhaust guys anymore info to help get the right ones a little cheaper...
The car has a 2" system at the mo. but is getting a little old.
Dya reckon it would be cheaper to get the whole lot done at once?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

How big's the hole?

I've welded cracks and small holes in my extractors, sprayed them with high temp paint and they've been fine for the year or so since.

If you sniff around here for a while a set of extractors will come up, usually around $100-$150ish.

The hole aint that big I think. It hard to see as it is right next to the block.
I'll keep looking around. I found a mob in Syd that sells rwd extractors for $320.
thanks for your help!

if you have a cast exhaust manifold it is a bit more hassle to fix cracks, but if they are just mild steel, weld em up!
