ok i'm 99.9999999% sure there is no such thing as a v6 1g, but could someone clear this up for me as i want some "hahaha i told you so" satisfaction cheers

The 1G series engines are an inline six configuration. It's Nissan who have the 2 litre V6, ie VG20.

i use to do it, i called anything with 6 cylinders a v6, i didnt know about straight 6 existed at that time .

probably comes from hardly anyone calling a 4 cylinder a straight 4 or a inline 4, though you hear inline 4 in bike jargon all the time, that may be because of the availability of v4's

there correct just not specific. it is a 4cyl atleast they have called it a v4. But subaru's are always to referred to as boxers or flat 4's maybe ppl just forget that they are inline, or couldn't really give a shit about being that anal.

easy way to tell from a picture is the v6 will have exhaust manifolds on both sides of the block.. the straight 6 (ig) will have exhaust on one side and inlet on other side.
