EVO6 Tommi Makinen Intercooler + Pipes + Hoses Wed, 13 April 2005 08:23 Go to next message
I have a Tommi Makinene Evo 6 Intercooler setup for sale.

It will fit straight onto the GT4 Celica. 185.

I had it on my Celica for about 2 weeks however removed it for insurence reasons.

The performance difference was outstanding! Shocked
She pulled much harder to the redline!!!
Its a real shame i had to remove it.

It cost me 900AUD in total for the intercooler, piping, clamps and silicone hoses.

The intercooler has some damage. It was damaged when i bought it.
I took it to a performance shop and the said that no efficiency was comprimised.

I will sell this intercooler setup for 650AUD. For an extra 100AUD i will throw in the Turbosmart Vee Port BOV. (300+AUD on its own)

So call 0402430750 if you are interested i will answer any questions.

2 inch piping.

Same size off the turbo. You should always try and kep it the same size as it is on the turbo outlet. http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=getfile&id=11151

thats correct any larger than 2" and there would be large amounts of turbo lag and pressure drop across the system.

Private insurence. If i was to go through a mainstream insurer like just cars it would cost something like 4500-6000 p/a to comprehensivly insure.

I can assure you that is not anywhere near the standard length of the pipework for a gt4.
Most people clock the turbo and have the inlet and outlet of the intercooler the other way round.

True for both responses, but then it is probably a kit that most people could install and as long as the previous and next owner are happy, that is all that matters

Cheers

You ever seen the RB20DET front mount intercooler piping? I counted 5 90 degree bends, it basically snakes back around the intercooler and into the intake. Talk about length, that stuff is crazy!
