If you get a thicker metal head gasket, how much will it reduce the compression by? On 20v for example, stock CR 11.5:1 how much lower could you get that will a thick head gasket?

I agree with Ed, not the best way.
I've heard of people using a sandwich plate of metal between 2 head gaskets to reduce the compression, but then there's twice the chance of blowing one.

The only reason I can think of that you'd want to lower the CR on a 20V is for forced induction.
The 20V pistons aren't made for this & you'd be pulling them out shortly after you've broken them.

If you're going forced induction, either use the ZE pistons or get forged ones suited to the forced induction purpose which will already be made to make a lower CR.

or u could keep the stock pistons, run low boost and get aftermarket tuning and make sure its spot on

would be fun Smile

Would the SAFC be ok to tune a turbo 20v. Also what injectors have higher flow and do not need modifications to fit?
