full points for the simmons man!

I have to offer a plug to Baulkham Hills Tyre King - fantastic service, and had my tyres ordered, delivered and fitted the day my simmons arrived for them.

Pics to come.

yeah.... once it has back seats, spare tyre and more than 5 L of fuel that should make a bit of a difference Smile

edit: plus I dont want a huge amount more camber on the rears - they're at just the right camber now. so until I can organise some camber bolts, it's staying at current height Smile

it's on the cards - front brakes need to be done first, and back seats fitted, and engineered.

235/40 front, 255/40 rear. I've heard of some clearance issues with bigger rubber (plus with my pissy vehicle weight, no major advantage)

The main reason people are doing it is to enable them a wider selection of common wheels, but he felt like bending over and forking out for Simmons, so it wasn't going to matter either way and he didn't have to dick around finding hubs.

a) sexiness: these wheels are the shiznit.
b) convenience: I'm either really disorganised or really busy (probably both) so I don't get a whole lot of time to work on my car... I didn't want to add one more task to that list.
c) even in 5-stud, it's still tough to find the same wheel made in +18 and +0 offset, with a 38mm caliper clearance!

just under 10kgs per corner.

so while not as light as volks, the wheel + tyre still comes in noticably lighter than the stock alloys (based on my scientific "how loud do I grunt when picking up" measuring system)

well, I'm sure being 9" wide doesn't help their weight Smile

but yeah, simmons are notorious for heavy-arse centres

who gives a toss how heavy they are, im sure your 213rwkw will have no problem rotating these wheels as easily as any other. Razz

edit: jsut noticed what time the last post was before mine, that so 1337

I care... things like braking and handling are also affected by weight, which my 213rwkw will now help... but they're not *super* heavy
