i don't think this thread was dumb. look at the response. it stured the pot quite well. the only 86 owners i have talked to and hang out with have all been enthusiats.

Yeah hatchi rokus are so wicked, I've got 19" spinnerz on my ride yo, I changed it to a 13B rotor coz its like way more power than the 4AC i been driftin the streets with, coppers always give me the stares when im cruisin in it with the subs up and my 12 yr old girlfriend in the passenger seat, they just dont repect me and my people. When im at maccas carpark all the peeps wanna see me drift it because the stock suspension is so good for drifting, you dont even need to upgrade the engine to drift it...
When the people look at my rotor in the sprinter i tell em how its got forged pistons and surge tank for the turbo to spool up quicker...
i cant even drive down the ghetto without the ladies screamin drift it yo!...
I love my 86, i've only crashed 5 before...

Here is my 2cent on this topics.
Having own/modify sprinter, i believe the sprinter is a bit over rated car, with it Superb handling. All i could say is that compare to it ERA the sprinter was properly considered to be the most awsome handling car, but not by today standard im sorry if i hurt anyone feelings.
do not kid yourself that urs Sprinter will out perform the the later car like Supra/mr2/celica....Hey i spent alot of money on my sprinter sometime i still believe that my car is better than the newer car, but if i sit down and logically think about it. NAH never
Ppl need to understand, what does new car have that old car don't? Research and development.
ARE ppl trying to tell me a 05 model corolla cannot out perform a 83 model corolla. yeah Toyota sat on it butt for 20ish year not changing anything..eg suspesion setup....etc
Anyway to sum up. I still still love my sprinter very much as the amount of $$$$/time i spent on the car. I would drive my sprinter proud. But i know it limit and not been a dick thinking it the best drift/fastest/awsome handling car.

What the hell was with teh skiing and garbage pics.
Ok just for curiosity sake, price of an 4age sprinter arounf 5000 (yes minus lsd prolly).
Whats the best or significantly better handling car for that price. (Minus RX7, fuel guzzlers, very nice though).

May I reiterate my previous point
Sell the sprinter.
Buy a Soarer.
Why is that difficult to understand?
How funny would a sprinter with a soarer front on it look!!
You'd need to make an uber wide bodykit for it, but hey, it would be cool

The actual definition of Sprinter has been posted to urban dictionary
The MR2 already had three pretty good definitions, the 2nd being the most accurate

Just deal with it. Own and drive whatever car you like.
Yes there are a lot of wanker sprinter owners out there. Yes they are over rated, esp in stock form. But is any of this news to anyone??
Everyone get over it and get on with life.
