St162 electrical fault? Sat, 30 April 2005 13:06 Go to next message
Hello.

Randomly when I drive my stock Celica ST162, the light for the battery and burnt bulb come on together, then after a little bump or so, they turn off and then turn on and so on so fourth.

WTF is going on? Im assuming a loose connection somewhere, where can I look?

Thanks alot

havent worked on one of these yet, but it sounds as though its your actual guage cluster that may have a loose something. these two warning lights are not usually wired up on the same circuit.

if no go, have a sparky check your alternator and warning lite circuit because that is what the battery light is telling you to check. if it is faulty it may be messing with your globe sensor which is current sensing.

hope it helps.

I JUST started getting this same error like 2 days ago!

these two lights come on. Also I noticed that my voltmeter was reading quite low (in cluster one)

I am going to check my alternator output and see what happens
