When it comes to cars, my knowledge is quite limited. I would like to change that and have a problem which I am sure is not at all unique.
I have a 1991 Corolla Seca AE 92 which runs beautifully. However it has an irritating problem. Once in a while it just refuses to start. At times I have to turn the ignition 12-15 times before the engine comes to life. Am not sure what the problem is and so far not shown a mechanic as I have not yet got stuck for good or a long time. But I am scared that day might come soon. What could be the problem? Is it the fuel pump which needs to be replaced or repaired? Also a few times a year the engine shuts down while waiting at the traffic lights and I have to restart it again. But it happens so infrequently that I have not taken it seriosly. Could it become worse?
So please help me guys n gals. I love my car and would not want to ruin or part with it.
Sounds like a combination of 2 (or more things). Ofcourse with out a detailed description of how it starts/doesnt start then heres a few things to check(or replace):
