seatcovers are so uncomfy.
cant understand people with race seats or nice luxury seats and put seatcovers on them. especially those snapon, so expensive yet i've never seen a car with snapon which wraps the seat clean, they tend to be all slopping around
i can understand for people who work in dirty environment and drives the car to and from work, still i'd take them off on weekends
i find floormats uncomfy aswell, and dont use them. though my carpets are starting too rip

Velour baby.
though black velour in a car without aircon or sunroof wasn't my smartest move.... but its soooo soft. specially the back seat which dont get sat on too often - MZ Soarer and all, not much back seat action of any kind going on back there. but the ladies love it. well they say they do not to good for after basketball though. so suggestion, play a real mans sport like.. full contact origami! fark yeah

Agreed, when i was on My L's, i had those AXS slip on Seat Covers, Didnt have them for very long, maybe 2 or 3 weeks, and then i woke up One morning to find them gone! Thats all i had in my Car too..
Generally They are about $40 each, for Slip ons.. Sheepskin ofcourse abit more, and Kmart ones abit less.

Just a warning for all you seatcover lovers... take the suckers off once in a while and give the seat a good vacuum.
My old man had sheepskin seatcovers in his XR6 since brand new.
He went to sell it 2 years later and the seats were absolutely stuffed.
The dirt etc. falls through the seatcover and eventually gets ground into the seat itself... once it gets like that only a mega steam clean would clean the seat up properly.

What Toobs says is very true..
And heres my 50 cents worth.
My mate runs a set of those mesh-esque "Dragon" covers on all seats of his lancer, theyre pretty nice, but only if your skin isn't in direct contact with the covers... you get this really nasty friction.. like trying to hump sandpaper. :S teh ghey.
And never put covers on leather seats.. that defeats the purpose.. (Saw a Lexus driver doing this.. found myself wondering if his covers were rotting from sweat cause by the seat warmers, but if he can afford a lexus, he can fix it too.)
Personally, buy what you like the look/feel of.
After all, your the one whos gotta sit on it, right?

I have spoken with an upholsterer and seat covers are not a good idea.
Cloth seat cover on a cloth seat = sandpaper effect. So when you think you are extending the life of your seat, you are actually committing it to an early death.
Have fun kids

if the guy has such a problem with soaking his seat in sweat, wont the leather rot/grow things if the covers are left on?
you should just buy a bath sheet sized towel to put on the seat, and take it with you to put in the washing machine when you wash your bball gear.

what happened to the good old "pat down" before you get in the car?
my dads a ceiling fixer + flusher, as a result both he and i get covered in fine dusty shit.
just whack the shit out of your clothes before you get in the car, and clean it like you should every weekend.
problem solvered.
and the sweaty man? take your shirt off before you get in the car and wipe yourself down with a towel and bung a clean shirt on, it'll hold out till you get home
whatever you do, dont have the a/c on, or the window down while your hair is wet.

The New England Journal of Medicine covered this a while ago I think it was followed by a paper on "Don't go in the rain or you will catch a cold"
Someone should get their Nanna to knit them some seat covers, perhaps in their favourite footy team colours. Then take a pic and show us all.
Here is a pic of my seat covers (note matching seat belt pads):
I get a lot of positive comments about the seat covers, usually young people yell out "nice seat covers mate!" and they laugh and look so happy when they say it that I know they must like them.
