Hey thanks guys, as for the white lightning seats, not to sure on what they look like, but anyway mine has that lumber control for the drivers side, so the seats can hug ya, good for going around corners cause they hold ya in place.

PS: whats the go with the lacky club??

Okay, now that I've settled down... Very Happy

The Celica SX (Aus) is pretty much a Celica GT-R (Jap),
The Celica ST (Aus) is pretty much a Celica GT-S (Jap),
(as I understand it).

Obviusly the Celica GT-4 is a Celica GT-4.
There are slight differences in the engine area, for example no exhaust gas recirculation on the jap-spec, and it probably runs higher compression too.

GT4 buckets are the 'shiznit' if you ask me, but they are hard to find. Anyway, looks very very nice, love the white as always Smile

Sorry just need to confirm something here, the SX is the same as the GT-S, and the ST is the same as the GT, the GT-R is kind of in a category of its own at the moment, i know theres the 5th gen's with gt-r's with 4ws, not sure if the 4ths came with them though..

So I guess the big question is, what's the difference between the GT-R and the GT-S?

Afaik, the 4th gens did not get 4WS?

yeah, rob had a look and yeah its not 4ws, but some differences, i guess seats?? but i think white lightnight have it, i don't have the that ERG thing on the throttle body, 180km/ph speedo, the dash area with the air con and stuff is like the gt4's, digital??..blue interior?? are the sx's black?? not sure, but if someone could confirm the difference that would be wicked..its so bloody hard to find info on this car. i know its suppose to have a 3sgelu engine (160bhp), according to some foreign web site.

Well abit of a mod update, well its been awhile but i was meaning to get around to mentioning that i now have an SAFC II in my car, and i have to say its working a treat now, air/fuel ratio adjusted so it'll hit at around 3-5rpm, and thats like the perfect spot just before the T-Vis opens and wow it makes a difference when you just go flat out, don't really notice it when your in traffic obviously, but yeah when you have a chance go all out...but i did have a problem at first with it, my previous immobiliser didn't seem to like the SAFC too much and decided to shut my electrics off, and with a new alarm/immob. it works like new again, thanks to the guys at BEL Garage. anyway hasn't been dyno tuned properly yet, but in future i'll have it finely dyno tuned with the results!!!. Surprised

Because I don't like low cars I can't rate this mod too highly, but because I know king springs handle reasonably nice, I give it 2/5 Very Happy

You got this thing dyno'd yet? What A/F ratio are you running with yer SAFC II under full load?

yeah, I respect the king lows because they never really give any dramas with being "too low".

Infact I was suprised how "not low" the car was!

I love the handling of them though yes.. they are great.

only Julian would know the answer to the SAFC quezzy.. julian??

Hey dude looks sweet as - Question. Did u just change over the springs or did u stick in some short stroke shocks too? If just the springs hows the ride? Are u bouncing around alot?

Just curious coz i have standard kings and a set of KYBs in mine n wonderin if chuckin in lower springs will eff up my ride/handling?

Cheers mate - oh and again, looks sweet!

Hey in regards to the springs, yeah we just changed the 4 springs (king lows), i got pedders gas shocks at the rears though, anyway yeah the rides alot stiffer and handles better around corners, less roll thats for sure, so you can kinda just swing the steering wheel around and yeah kinda just go around corners really smoothly depending at which speeds..but yeah you will feel the bumps easier but less bouncy, more firm on the speed humps.

anyway i've booked my car in tomorrow for a Dyno Tune and run at Hills Motorsports, and hopefully to fix my SAFC problem, apperently it could be a loose power supply to the SAFC.

Ok the car has been tuned and dyno'd, at the cost of my pistons thou, so i dont think this is as accurate or i could be wrong.. anyways, putting 75kw at the wheel, and 303nm of torque... at 6000rpm.... but due to cracked pistons, it could probably be better then this..

Well its now retuned and dyno'd and made 85 fwkw, but going to retune it again with the pod filter and adjust the timing to see if we can reach the 90kw+ mark, all with 91 octane, time to bring in 98.

Interestin Dyno Result..
1.8kw less than what i made...
Its wierd though because if you made this power with a full rebuild, and higher compression forgies plus exhaust etc. something must be seriously up with my engine, on my dyno run the timing was retarded without me knowing, it was on a very low 6 degrees (its on 14 now with optimax)

So it questions what the hell is up with my motor haha...
I also had a leak on my exhaust.
Have you got a sheet for the dyno..

Interestin comparision as yeah my engine got recoed at 200,000kms
sittin on 297,000kms now!

yeah its very interesting, well due to incompleted dyno i never got around to asking for a print out, cause we only did a quick tune up cause lack of time, but its going on the dyno again anyway and adjusting the timing abit to compensate i guess for the increase in fuel load, but when its done properly i'll definately get a print out.

yeah and regarding your dyno results, its either somethign wrong(in a good way) with your car, or either the dyno machines are different readings, who knows, maybe you have higher compressions...

yeah, its either fork out a few thousand to get a professional job, or 2-4 cans of spray for less then 20 bucks each. if you get a pro job you'd probably end up spending almost as much as you spent for the car..

well had my ignition timing adjusted today, and now the car is pushing 93kw atw on 95 octane, so happy about that, next thing to do is probably heavy duty clutch as it feels like its slipping.

Finally a Figure that truely represents your modifications.. Well done.. Your "CURRENTLY" the leader for the 3sge gen 1 NA Challenge... hehehe

Thats awesome. Tell us how it drives..

What else did you get done to get the extra kw from your original KW figure? Advancing the timing 2.5 degrees shouldn't bring another 6kw at the wheels there must be somethin else done hehe..

well technically it was 8kw more Laughing from my last one of 85kw, but i changed to the pod filter and ignition timing up 2.5 degrees, apparently upping the compression will give good results, i can't complain, very torquey and crispy accel., but the ignition timing still needs to be adjusted at different rpms to make it more efficent, so i'll most likely be getting a ITC as my last mod, apparently works wonders together with the SAFC.

well its all finally done, the Piggy back computers work wonders on these cars, almost had troubles with the ITC as no instruction manuals available, but managed to find the right wiring ports, and to my absolute suprise, 102 kw at the wheels, super happy about that.
