has anyone done this and can anyone tell me how i can install mine??

i know theres a wiring diagram and that but i dont know which cable is which....

only for 3sgte and 3sge... not 5sfe in a 184...
and i was also asking how i can get to the ecu as its like behind the console...

The ecu can be unbolted from behind the console, crawl under the passenger side dash, and u'll find the ecu sticking up behind there. 2 10mm bolts hold it in. You shouldn't need to remove it, you only need to play with the engine loom.

As for wires, there are only 3 the RSM needs (from memory)
Power, Ground and Speed.

Have a look at that, thats a 5sfe diagram (a bit small)
Have a look and u'll find the speed wire sensor.

(hint, its pin 12 on plug A)

i gotta attach the rev as well, does anyone know if the 5sfe ecu actually gives live data so it will work? or only the 3sgte... although the mr2's are listed in there...

the MR2 5SFE is the same as the ST184 5SFE wiring wise.

ok, the diagram was for a 3sgte, now i have found an ecu map for a 5sfe and it has no tacho wire... as it needs the rev part;-...

Mate all you have to do is look at the diagram, i know its crap but you can still make out what pin and plug its on.

Plug B Pin 6.

Hey, im so glad i stumbled accross this. i just bought an rsm y'day and too needed the wiring diagram for a st184. just to confirm, speed was plug A pin 12 and revs was plug B pin 6?

Also. where is the ECU? under passenger dash/ behind glovebox?? and do i take off where the clear/yellowy plastic cover is?
