ive just gotten off the floor.

for this price, this thing had better be registered, engineered, completely 100% rust free, and have show-car-like paint/body.

Im gobsmacked!

Eldar

I normally keep quiet on these things , but mate you are really are a dickhead.

Just get your little fingers on a calculator and work out the cost to get a car to this point - especially a car that is now becoming rare in any condition. Its about time you and a few of your mate learnt that if you are not in the market (and I am sure that anything over $200 would be beyond your reach) to keep the negative comments to youself.

Thank god thats off my chest.

Craig

no matter who is right or wrong no one should jump onto a sales thread and dish out negative comments about an item.. this guy is trying to sell the car for the price he wants to sell it if u dont like it be quite and dont post it on the very thread where the item is advertised.. id be pissed off if someone was scarying off potential buyers with negative comments...

like mums have always said "if u have nothing nice to say dont say it" Very Happy

$200? mate thats being generous!

you realise that this car was made in 1970's?

i realise that im being negative about it, and at the same time insulting it, but its also what they call "constructive" critisism.

once again, another person has raised their head in trying to justify the money spent on a car.

you spend money doing up a car, thats fine, but people like you seem to think that you'll get that money back, it doesnt happen that way.

and yes, $200 is out of my reach, because i am human, whereas $5500 is out of yours, even though you seem to think your superman.

can you justify spending $5500 on this car?

bottom line, im telling the thread starter, that, he should tell his friend, no matter who he finds to buy this car, not one person will pay $5500.

hes better off keeping this lovely machine.

People pay 8-10K for restored 1GGTE classic celicas. No reason why someone wouldn't pay $5K for one that is restored just with a milder engine conversion.

Examples of these cars in this condition ane getting hard to find, and people are always after this shape.

Its no different to someone paying 5K for a restored AE86, even though its a 20yr old corolla, and that happens all the time.

Looks sexy though, good luck with the sale!

yes it is different. ta22's don't have initial D appeal. ae86's should be 500-1500$ nowadays, but shit ones go for 3k+
there's really no other reason for it.

I reckon its up to the seller how much he wants to sell it for. Good luck to him to find a buyer. If he does find a buyer, well then congrats to him/her! If he doesn't then he can wait or he can drop his/her price.

Simple as that.

BTW I think the paint looks sweet too. Razz

BUMP!

Good luck.

To get it back on the road is re assembly all that is required?

Seems to me that everything else has been done apart from putting it back together, Engineer, and rego.

How is the interior? intact?

Also what crossmember was used?

Looks to be a good price there if the work has been done properly (and looking at the list I'd say it has been)

Curious to know why a T50 was used and Not a W50, Tunnel clearances?

Cheers
