Most ST165's in the country would have been complied under the 15yr rule.
Need to add:
Baby restraint anchor points
Side instrusion bars
Dash light dimmer
etc.

Probably cost you about $2-3k for the mods plus engineers cert.

This depends on the state your in but you would usually need.

2 X Side intrusion bars
2 X Lap sash seat belts in rear
2 X Child restraint points in rear
Unleaded fuel sticker
Emissions Sticker
Tyre placard
VIN Number placard
Engineers Sign off

Allow $1500 for all this work.

excusme guys this is one thing I have been wondering for a while, do cars with floating parcel shelves actually have child restraint points.

I work at a garage that does rta inspections when I questioned this on my boss, we had a look at a series of cars we had at the time, and none of the little hatches with floating shelves had child restraints, only the cars with fixed shelves did.

I know it may be a little off topic but it kinda has to do with this cause a 165 has a floating shelf

Yes they do need child restraints , the like of my GTi-R the restraints were fitted to the roof.

Aus fuel filler is not needed anymore well at least in Canberra due to Leaded fuel no longer available / phasing out

As for weighbridge you could also use the weight listed on the bill of loading for the shipping company.

I'm pretty sure the child restraints in the ST185 are supposed to mount to the two brackets which I'm pretty sure hold the fuel tank in.
They are right at the back of the boot floor.

Not that the rear bucket style seating would be too good for shoving baby capsules etc. onto.
