and thats how in my opinion they look..

no, soaringmick you are wrong.
The KE20/25's were reffered to as Sedans, only australia had the 2dr Sedans, japan and NZ had 4door sedans in the KE20/25 version. KE35 is reffered to as a Hardtop
models are
Sedan
Hardtop
Wagon
Pannel Van
none were ever actually reffered to as coupe's

And for an "update" on me '25 which is just a couple more parts that i've bought and that engine wise its stalled for that i'm thinking along the lines of non-toyota and go suzuki. G13b DOHC ,in fact, with a serria g'box. Been doing some googling into it and so far its proving to be interesting to say the least. Things like using the crank from a 1.3 litre serria in the swift block will increase the capacity close to 1.5 litres or i could even use the vitara 1.6 block and fit the g13b swift head.
Just a little different and a little less common...

hey im jsut going by what my greggorys says, and thats to japanese spefication casue ive seen all the jap sites refer to the TE37 as a Hardtop and not a coupe.
i guess its like the way some people call it a strut(insert) and others call it a shock u know??
there is a TECHNICALLY correct tern but it doesnt really matter.
and if u wana know something funny, my camry station wagon has SEDAN on the rego papers, and my Hardtop rolla had sedan written on it too. i dont think the RTA can hold much backing i nthis argument! haha

as for the car its up and running, still needs a tune, a few guys on the forum have been for a ride (blacksupra and stitt)
it has been running 8psi of boost but today i wound it up to 12psi and its totally different to drive, comes on boost alot harder and faster
i cant wait to get a tune and wind it up to 25psi

Going to have see an engineer about it first. But apart from that its also the size of the serria g'box has me alittle worried cause i don't really want to go chopping the trans tunnel to make the 'box fit.
Thats funny about the camry domasik. Cause i had the same thing when i had my old T18, the RTA had it rego'd as a wagon firstly and when i renewed the rego i told them about it so they changed it to a sedan
Looking in the dictionary a "hardtop" is a sportscar, which does not have a movable top.
Another two to throw in are - fastback and notchback.

I'll get them today,
So my conversion is a definate to start on June 4th! I have everything now, i am just saving some "Incase something goes wrong" money. Which no doubt it will.
I got a surge tank made by Bonds Roll bars for $75!. I took a pic in of what i wanted and dimensions and they said yep thats fine it'll be ready in a few days, $75.

Don't be disheartened Micheal! There are times you just "wanna give up" but think of the satisfaction u will get when it is finished! I'm looking forward to seeing your beast on the road!
My KE20 is off to the RTA "VRIU" unit tomorrow(special part of RTA that check vehicle id, etc) to fight about a chassis number recorded wrong by them!
Chassis number is KE201824347
RTA has recorded KE201924347!
Trouble is, no one has ever picked up on it! Just passed a blue slip after being off the road for a few years while I was doing some work to it (which was only supposed to take a few months!). The rta records go back as far as 1990 when they had computers and the wrong chassis number was wrong even back then!
I am guessing when they changed from paper to computer records, some chick with FAT FINGERS did a typo - and now the BULLSHIT we have to go thru to try and get this car registered . . . . . . . . . .

anyone know what disk brakes fit on a VL turbo diff and retain the 4 stud???

Is that a borg warner diff. If so the R31 skyline rear disks might fit.

Micheal, just stick to it!!!
your always going to hit obstacles and problems, we all do!!
