Hi guys,
After one of these. Would rock if I could get my hands on one today or tomorrow (hopefully seeing the engineer on Friday).
So if you have one, could you SMS me on 0413777758 as I won't be back on the PC till this afternoon.
Cheers,
Dave

These are not all the same buddy.
Theres at least two different versions for the ST185 alone.
Depending on what you've got some SV21 camry's and ST18X celica's have the same one... trip to pickies with your broken one me thinks

Unfortunately it will be a pick to pickies with my non-existant one
Is it dependant on computer or manifold as to which version. I'm running a early sw20 computer with an early st185 manifold.

I think I have one from ST185.
Need to have a dig under the house though.

TurboRA28: If you feel like having a dig, I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands.
Toobs: Thanks for the info, if TurboRA28 can't find his, I'll take the trip to pickies with this new found knowledge

Do you really need it? The engine will work fine without it and the computer shouldnt miss it.

Nope, in that sense, I don't really need it at all.
In fact, I haven't even found someone willing to tig up my custom A/C compressor piping yet.
But, with engineering next week, I'd love to have all of the wiring and tubing complete and mounted as neatly as possible.
Yes, I suppose I could take a guess at how big it is and make up a bracket for it and mount it, then leave the plug for it exposed from the loom near the mount, same with the piping for it. But if I could get my hands on one, I'd much rather do that.
Edit: I get what you mean the engine will be fine without it, that the compressor will not have enough drain on the engine to cause idling problems. But I kinda like that factory feeling

In that case, just make a bracket to suit your turbo VSV valve and find one of those. It will work the same but the plug will be different.

So the turbo VSV and the A/C idle up, just open on a message from the ecu, I thought the turbo VSV was a variable thing, eg, reacted differently at different voltages. This is a complete guess on my behalf though.
Anyways, thanks for the knowledge I'll keep it in mind if I get stuck.
But for everyone who may have a space A/C idle up valve, I'm still keen

Both the AC idle up valve and the turbo vsv operate from a PWM signal.
The turbo vsv is just a tad bigger than the idle up valve, but it still does the job fine.
