I'm looking for a 5k gearbox for a mates '78 SE corolla (it's been converted to a 5k engine)
We're in Hobart but haven't been able to find one down here so if anybodies got one, or knows of someone/a wreckers on "the mainland" that does please let me know. He's happy to pay for freight as long as it's a reasonable price

so at all the wreckers you can not find one K engine box?
all of these boxes are the same. off any K series engine.
cept for some freak box that has 19 spline insted of 21 but they are rare. and can be fixed just by find a clutch n tailshaft 2 suit.
are u after 4 or 5 speed ?
4 speed u should beabel 2 find on the side of the road in good workin order.
and as for 5 spd chek all ur local toyota wreckers or just chek any ke36 wagon, ke55 or ke70 and ur chances should be pretty good.
