These tail lights are from a early model ('83-85) Corolla Levin 3 door (liftback), either AE85 or AE86. All spec models (Apex, GT, GTV, SR etc.) used the same lights.
Or, they are from a early model AE85 or AE86 3 door called "Corolla SR-5" or "Corolla GT-S" in north America.
I have these lights on my car, and the lights in the picture are probably on Aarons car, who also lives in Hobart.
There are 8 different sets of AE85/AE86 tail lights. They are divided by coupe/liftback styles of course, Levin/Trueno different styles, and early/late revisions.
But Aussie spec cars had early Trueno lights, and USA spec cars had Levin lights. That just about covers it...

If you know anyone in Japan, they can get early Levin tail lights like this for about $20 off Yahoo Auctions. The later model ones go for more. The hard part is getting them to Australia.
Or try buying them off a US based forum, like club4ag.

Whitelines look best on Levin.
Redlines look best on Trueno.
My car had these lights on when I bought it and I didnt mind them. I'd take them over Aussie lights just because they are different.

on a 2 tone panda scheme,
the standard SPRINTER lights look wicked.
on a ducktail, and panda style bumper scheme, whiteline/redline looks real nice depending on color.
on a straight coloured ae86, with no spoiler, I think the Zenki levin ones look good.
