Dude, do a quick search.
I probably found this faster then it took you to create the thread.
SC Oil you can use a Hypoid Gear oil or any 90 weight synthetic gear oil.

fwiw, whipple recommend ONLY 5W-50 synthetic motor oil...
but do a search, even i remember this being covered

stuffed if i would run a 90 weight gear oil in the s/c. (this is my opinion). 
run the toyota stuff in your fingers, it is prity damn thin (and smells like Lanolin to me). i used Mobil 1 5w-? (it's been ages cant remember the other weight).

I use the factory stuff from Toyota, part number 08885-80108.
but like feral said it is very thin (low viscosity) it comes with a nice syringe to make it easy to put in (or take out if you get a bit heavy handed)!!!
In my experience it makes no difference if its hot or cold.

I too use the factory stuff... at $10 a bottle, and u need 3 bottles, it doesn't break the bank...

yeah if you dont use the factory oil, use full synthetic motor oil thats got a low viscosity. lots of people use gear oil but its way to thick, however having said that i dont remember people having problems.
i used full synthetic engine oil and had to top it up every week cause it would all get sucked out and into the engine

yeah but mine was sucking it through the motor i think because i had the s/c locked on and there was alot of vacuum in the intercooler piping at idle, the rubber hoses would suck right in.
