My car, my budget, what are my options? Sun, 22 May 2005 03:41 Go to next message
hey every1 i have a ke20, its been painted, im still in the process of putting it back together, if only i heard of this forum earlier so i could of asked questions on some of the things i got stuck with Laughing ahh well too late worked out my problems, everything but my choice of powerplant! Ok guyz, i got about 2/3 grand, i got a 3k but i want a super reliable engine that has poke to keep up/beat commonwhores, the conversion would be done by myself, i have no idea what sort of engine i should be looking at or gearbox, but i can get reasonable priced hilux diffs, so theres no worries there.... if ne1 can shed some light i would appreciate

regards ke20man

4AGE ?
Maybe a 4AGZE when you get more money.
nice and light also easy to put into your car so i'm told.
Maybe a celica diff would do ? instead of a hulux diff .

i would think that keeping it N/A would make it cheaper yea??? how much would i be looking at for a 4age out of the trading post or something? and how hard are they to convert to rwd?

and working a 4k would end up costing me less but to get it to perform like a 4age would cost just as much but would be more likely to fuck up than a stock 4age?

Well a stock motor is less likely to have issues than a modded one.
you can buy rwd 4age's a think for pretty cheap.
my understanding is that you need to change coolant lines and manifold.
i've never done it i've just heard ppl talking about it.
