how to identify supra gearbox

HEY FELLAS , ive seen a gearbox I want to buy at the wreckers , the only problem is I don’t know what gearbox its is , im after the w58 gearbox for the soarer , but the guy at the wreckers told me the gearbox was out of a supra but he doesn’t what one / year etc , also told me that the gearbox was used ina ford before it was pulled out and kept on the shelf
Now what I want to know how to tell wether the box is a w58 or not is there any writing or marking etc I should look for , and where
The time it would take to find that thread (which happens to be linked to the FAQ thread stuck at the top of the forum) is less than the time it would take to post this thread. Why do people struggle with the concept of using the search button??
