pics of MX73 Cressida - springs Tue, 24 May 2005 08:18 Go to next message
Just wondering if anyone has pics of MX73 Cressidas with stock springs or aftermarket springs installed.
I want to get new springs for mine but unsure whether to get standard height or maybe an inch lowered. My Cressy looks to be sitting just right with the guards maybe an inch to half an inch above the tyres, not sure wether this is how they are stock or if the springs have sagged overtime.
I'll try and post some pics of mine up tomorrow night
If its not possible to post the pics on this thread could you please email them to me at: eptrophy@ozemail.com.au

With your rear springs? Are they really MA61 Springs? If so, where is the negative camber? Laughing

Cheers.

Cheers for those pics.
It looks alot lower in the back doesnt it. My springs must have sagged heaps because if MA61 standard springs are shorter than the MX73 standards, they would be spot on mine.
I love how my car looks now though but need new springs, it has that raking sort of look Confused

If I get MX73 lows or MA61 standards will that add negative camber, or does it only happen every now and then?

Kings MX73 lows for the front are the same as the MA61 Standards (99% the same)

And Kings don't list MX73 Lows for the rear.

Front has 0.5deg -ve camber, rear has 3deg.
I'd only want about 1.5deg in the rear ideally

MA61 springs are a couple coils shorter arn't they? Can you get standard height MX73 springs but in stiffer spring rates so there a bit shorter, does it work that way? Do you notice the negative camber steering wise even on a car like the Cressida?

Don't feel the camber, but handling is much better than stock.
Its still no race car though.

MA61 rears are a coil shorter, not 100% sure about fronts though.

Oh ok cool. Mmm the Cressida will never be a race car but I want to do whatever I can to improve it a bit.
Are the ground control coilovers on 935 motorsports website worth the trouble? Any ideas what a combination would be like with them at the front then just king standards (MA61) or dobinsons at the back?
I know Im asking alot just trying to get an idea of the possibilities
