Swap Quick GTi for something boosted Mon, 23 May 2005 04:19 Go to next message
Looking for something 4A-GZ(/T)E / SR20DET / CA18DET powered.. you get the point, I need boost Razz

Just thinking about it for now - nevertheless it goes quite hard - ran 16.2 at WSID - could probably get down to 15's as I'm not the best at launching and I missed 3rd gear Ah well at least it beats stock commos

'93 White (MK3)
Manual
139,000kms
Did compression test 2 weeks ago, 190psi across all cylinders
205/40/r16" rims
Nothing to spend at all - May need a visit to the dyno if you want more power out it

Mods:
Suzitech extractors
2.5" exhaust all the way thru
200sx cat
Croydon Stage 2 cams - CRD claim 100kW @ the fly - dunno how true this is -regardless they made a big diff
CRD S2 chip to match cams - also push back rev limit to 8600 rpm
Cam gears - havent visited dyno to dial these in yet
Fuel pressure reg running ~42-43@the rail
Pod
SR20 throttle body
Bored out inlet manifold to suit TB
Bored out MAF
Thats about it I think.. might of missed something

Just seeing if anyone is looking for a quick little runaround, post what ya got, cant hurt

Cheers guys,

Greg

16.2 is awesome for a n/a 1.3L. My swift struggled to get 17.7 with a GTi engine (sports exaust cams chip air filter mods)

GBC_069 i hope your offering a solid amount of cash ontop of your ST162.

from the sounds of what works done i reckon u should be able to fetch an easy 7k for it.

what kinda suspension tuning have you done to it?

No suspension tuning, just sitting on some lowered springs

The springs were chopped when I bought it, and I had to get a suspension expert to look at it, obviously replacing the springs while he was at it

I fitted the wheels just a few weeks ago, sits very nicely, does not scrub whatsoever

If nothing happens I'll go and get it dyno tuned

Cmon people, I'm just looking for something with a bit more potential, if nothing pops up, I'll keep my car and turbo it Smile
