Need new boot lid, bumper, beaver panel, rear quater, front and rear door skins. I'll try to get some photos on here ASAP. I priced the panels recentley cos I got a mate who works for Toyota spare parts in Japan, about $5,500 landed from memory, but I could be wrong by a little either way.

Oh yeah and the rest of car is sweet. Trim is fine, Left hand side is fine its the right hand side that is damaged. I'm mid way through a 1JZ Cressida conversion so it is lacking the diff, brakes, engine, and box as all these parts are being retro fitted to the MX83. I decided to use a Cressida instead of fixing the Mark II cos chances are I'll pull the same stunt down the track and I won't feel bad about ruining a Cressida.

Very Interested as well, awaiting pics.

Also, was the chassis bent much? Was this an airbag model?

Cheers

The Radiator in the manual and auto are completley different. Does not have auto cooler on radiator. Different sized shrouds - not interchangeable. Different sized cores too. I blew one of the end tanks and needed a new one, ended up tracking one down at Just Jap, when I got there I noticed it was from an auto, Just Jap said they were the same, but the manual has a hydraulic fan off front of motor, the auto uses an electric fan, different mounting points as well. I ended up having to retain the original and get a new end tank fabricated out of aluminium. Worked ok. No pictures of car damaged. Sold it a couple of months ago to a guy on this site, but can't remember his name. He owns a JZX90 auto and was looking to convert to manual he probably still has it with the radiator in it. Chassis was pretty bent, but was fixable. The bloke I sold it to was from a club called "Initial Drift" I think, and from memory they have a website and his car is on it, you may be able to track him down that way. He wanted the car for spare panels, gearbox cross member and interior surrounds for manual.
No airbags in this one. I think it was a 04/94 build.

Well,

There is a slight flaw to ur story there.

I've got an AUTO Jzx90 and it has a hydraulic fan..

I did wonder how the plastic tanks were for replacing when they went.

What did it cost u to get it fabricated? How hard etc? Like what kinda place did u goto to get it done?

Any info on that would be great appreciated, coz i've heard these tanks can go, and if i can find another, that'd be a good option.

Mate I don't remember where I ended up getting it fabricated but I don't think you will have too much trouble. Any competent fabricator could do it with his eyes closed. Actually from memory it was a radiator specialist who specialised in truck radiators and coolers. Can't rember where they were, somewhere near Liverpool possibly. I don't think you'll necesarily have to go down that route as there seems to be an abundance of auto front cuts hitting our shores, as you know majority of them are factory auto. I know that Just Jap usually stocks a couple and I think they ask around the $200 mark for them which is roughly about what it cost me to get one end tank fabricated. I think they are at Warriewood from memory, but they got website with address etc. etc. I could have sworn that the autos use electric fan, but oh well you got one so you're gonna know more than me. I can tell you definately different mounting points, different sized shrounds - not transferable and something else too, but can't remember. Believe me I tried everything to make the auto one fit and it can't be done. I live on opposite side of Sydney to Just Jap and its a 2 hour round trip so I really tried everything possible to avoid going back there.

Yes my '94 auto also has a hydraulic fan.
And no, the car did not have the radiator on it as I assumed Nick used it in his Cressida.
I do have an LS400 radiator, though I haven't looked to see if it is usable.
For those interested, I stripped the car and the shell has gone to car heaven.
