Just curious what a digital dash maxes out at on the speedo? In particular the ae86... [Report message to a moderator]

I'd amagine that it would be 999kms. the digital sensor should be able to keep going as fast as the sensor reads back to it. [Report message to a moderator]

Not sure, the most i've seen on mine is 130 or 140, i think. Then again, my gearbox is setup for a 4.3:1 final drive and i'm running a 3.9, so it reads a fair bit lower than it should. I know if i get to over 100 on my speedo around town i need to slow down I seem to remember someone posting a pic a while back of a digidash in a supra reading well over 250 though... same goes for the supra digital dash.. i have had mine to 200, the bloke before me had it to 237 people ask me often aswell and i just say 999 [Report message to a moderator]

If its anything like the MA61 its not complete. It looks like 88888 88888 88888 ____8 8___8 8___8 88888 88888 88888 8___8 8___8 8___8 88888 88888 88888 However, where the resolution of the input actually stops I don't know. [Report message to a moderator]

ha ha yeah i know I was suprised when it pulled 8000rpm in top gear!!! work it out 4.3 diff, .861 top gear and tyre diam of 576mm and i still have 1100rpm to go [Report message to a moderator]

Ive had mine too 175kms, next too a Porshe (no we werent racing) strangly enough we were both on our mobiles. Cool

I expect it too top out at 180kms but ill find out one day.

Because your gearbox oil would quickly come out of the dirty big hole where the tailshaft spline previously went into the gearbox???

Why not just remove the speedo sender and crank it up on a drill or something???

Ive done 220km/h in my sprinter, in 4th gear, didnt have room to try 5th unfortunately Sad

even with the speed cut working in my car the speedo didnt stop at 180, it bounced upand down between 183-175kph. [Report message to a moderator]

yeh the difference is the jdm n aus gear box, aus gear box has longer legs, so thats why they can get over 200 in 4th with my jdm box and crappy ass ratio diff im flat out trying to get 160 in any gear. plus if you have the correct wires connected up to the right computer your car wont go past 180. but i would like to see what the digital dash comes up with.. wrong. JDM and ADM boxes are EXACTLY the same apart from the bellhousing. anyway, not getting into that now...

but yes..definately 180 on the digidash, tho i've been to 7500rpm in 5th with my 20v, 4.3 diff...wonder how fast that is Razz

Whats so unbeleivable about that? my last sprinter had a 4ac that pulled to 170km/h. i dont know why everyone complains about the 4ac, mine never broke down and it could keep up with the other stock cars in the traffic light battles Laughing
