You can get the brand 'Preformance Alloy Wheels' superlight version from Tyre Factory. This brand is kind of a replica to the original superlight/watanabe wheel.

However, i have heard from many people, and some that actually have them on their car, that they are not light at all.
Henn, on these forums has them on his AE86, and i think i remember him saying they are quite heavy, but, if you order a nice set, they look very very nice. Cool

Apparently, they only come in RWD offset too.

Here is the site:

Good luck

Cheers

Ahh Arch, ever the critic of superlites.

Trust me, i would love some jap wheels to drift on but for the street they are f'n brilliant! I turned in a corner a little early the other day and slammed a gutter and only got slight gutter rash. If that was a Jap wheel or any other non Austalian Standards approved wheel, it would have been dinted for sure.

Sure Jap wheels are great but there is a reason the Superheavy's are Standards approved.

Each to their own though and I want both!

They are made in Australia (Melbourne, somewhere near Dandnong I think) but are no longer held in stock. So they are always made to order which means about a 4 week wait. But they SHOULD be able to do them in the offset and stud pattern you want.

Give them a call and have a chat about it all. They are in the Yellowpages. They insist you go through a distributor, but any tyre place will be able to get them in. Just tell them EXACTLY what you want. I've heard Performance are a bit slack and liable to stuff up orders.

And yes, I run them and they are heavy, but are very good for driving up gutters.

Should be about $200-220 per wheel if I remember right.

Hen

PS, the centrebore hole on their sprinter wheels doesn't match the sprinter hubs.
