does anyone know if the MK3 supra power steering rack is rebuildable, (something to do with shims?) or not, i have been told that mine has a bit of play in it...

Dude, a MA70 rack can be rebuilt for about $350 plus fitting. I still have a spare rack hanging around if your keen, at only $120 would be alot cheaper than a reco.

What problems are you noticing? I'm getting a loud sudden cracking sound whenever I stop after reversing out of a parking spot with the wheels turned. Is this due to the steering rack?

ok, i'm starting to get some knoking noises when going over bumps inthe road (thought it was engine mounts being broken, but aparently not), and it sometimes makes the noises you describe, but might just be my brakes, it used to do it alot, then i changed all my brakes, and it went away for a while, but is coming back now....
mr-ma70: that steering rack would be nice, but money is still an issue, i don't have $120 let alone $350. if i can get enough money how do you want to send it or whatever? i'm in brisvegas, where r u?
