entered into the oran park twilight drift last night, VERY happy with how the car went although the driver sure could do with some more speed/balls and skill!

basically i lost it, went up a gutter, through a pole, into a tree.
physically im 100% fine.
engine might be ok but hit the firewall pretty hard
wheels are all gone.
dunno what im doing with the old girl at this point in time, but ill probably wind up chucking all the gear into a te71 or if i cant find one a ta22/ae71/ke70/ae86

I just went through this entire thread from start to finish. Sounds like a lot of hard work went into the old T-18, sad to see it go out with a bang but I'm sure the learning curve was excellent and you can put it down as a good experience. Onwards and upwards! RIP T-18!!!
Good to hear you were okay and thats the main thing!

thanks for the kind words everyone
yeah its a sad end to a lot of time and money, but still well worth it all, and i dont think we've seen the last of it yet.
might be running again in a new body in 6 months or so, either as a dedicated track car, or a nice te71/ae86 for street/track i think.
ive always wanted to start from a shell, weld it up, spray it and build it up nice and slow, and this should be a good chance for that.
