No help to you if you are chasing info on the Gen 3 1G-GTE, as I think they are different, but for others with other types of 1G motors here is some research I have just done.
Toyota list this part number 90311-75004 which was superceded by 90311-75006 for models such as the GA70, GX70, GX71, GS130, EE80, EE90 (Starlet in Aust 1996 onwards), and EL41 (Paseo?), plus a few other models that I do not recognise.
According to the local Toyota Dealer, 90311-75006 has been superceded by 90311-75009, and its available at my local Toyota dealer, but the price is $76 including.
Bearing specialist SKF could not find a match and referred me to Coventry's.
Coventry's list this Starlet seal as 401624S at $63 including.
Nil stock, ex-East order for me.
Repco call this seal a 97647, they want $34 included and again its Ex-east for me.
Locals part supplier Veale have 10 in stock, and they want $30 included. I'm off to get one of these for me now.
For a limited time, if you want one at this price plus postage to you (in Australia), send me a PM if you are serious. I will then advise my bank details, you transfer $40 total in, I will buy the seal, post it to you, and send the change back in the same parcel.
I'm keen to help others who are stuck like me. If you can buy it better elsewhere please do, I don't want to argue price, this is at my cost. If no one is interested, suits me fine.

PS: The seal is apparently 100mm outside dia, 75mm inside dia, and 8.5mm thick.

Mine was genuine toyota... a bit more pricey than the CBC item thats for sure. From memory (i cant find the prices atm) it was $60 or so.

Haha, no i'm not, but they aren't different to the Gen2 one as far as I know.
Oh, and if you use SMS speak in a forum conversation one more time, the next time we meet you're going to receive a clip around the ears

Just make sure you put the seal in correctly. 
Make sure its flush, and don't put it in too far.
Also make sure its not the sump leaking.

You got me on that one Sheriff...
I thought that with gentle driving this would last a few months to a year, not a few weeks. I guess I always needed one with higher clamping pressure for the torque this motor churns out.
Time to look at a 4wd diesel Hilux jobbie.....

Just take the clutch and flywheel to the Clutch Factory in Kewdale. Tell them it will have a decent amount of power, you drive hard but not mechanically unsympathetic, and it may occasionally be taken to drags or track.
This is exactly what I did, ended up with a clutch rated 30-40% higher in clamping pressure, with a heavy duty clutch plate. Still acceptably firm yet easy to use in traffic. Cost me $418 including freshly machined flywheel and new throw-out bearing.

Good suggestion JCMF, while I favour an off the shelf solution my best bet long term is to do what you have suggested.
And I guess just to close off this thread, the ACL part number is NJ407 "Crank rear seal Toyota 4E-FE 16V DOHC".

Is that fitted or did you do it yourself? is it hard to change a clutch if the motor is out?

That was just giving the old pressure plate, clutch plate and flywheel to a company, and getting them to rebuild/replace it.
