This is just a feeler for an ST205 gearbox. Nothing wrong with, perfect condition. 70,000km.

Any takers?

nods - quite a bit of differences - mainly in ratios , stength , and the viscous front coupling instead of an open unit - sorta like a front LSD to match the back one - but not Wink

re price - i agree with ouch dude - sorry

Nah tis cool, its not my price anyway, i was offering it at cost price and i now have no vested interest in selling it. Im getting a 205 LSD and it came as a package for $2,500 but i've since mnanaged to acquire the diff seperately.

I dunno how much you guys were hoping to pay but $1,500 is EXCEPTIONAL for what you would have got. An unbreakable transmission in the same vein as the Supra Getrag 6sp, capable of rev limiter drag launches all day long!

To the guy who sold one for recently for $400 you were had in a big way, and to whoever bought it, respeck!

PS: the cost of a new diff set up, with crown wheel, pinions, and housing is close to $5k from Toyota. Quality costs...

Peace Smile

There's importers that can drop one on your door step for $1500.
Usual stuff, low KM's and a 3month quarantee.
I would be interested but for more like $1000.

PM me if there a chance you might be interested in a lower price.
Or keep it as a spare for yours, I would if I were you. Very Happy

Stu...tell me more about this front diff of which you speak?

I've not read that anywhere and the 205 box I just got (for which I paid $500) out of an Aust spec 205 didn't have such a thing.

Tell me more.

I've sold one of these for $750 & could've recently got one from an ST215 Caldina for $600 from an importer.
I think you & Toobs should talk about GT4 pricing Laughing

This is true matt, they run a lsd front diff. Similar to the MR2 LSD diff.

Also the centre viscour coupling is set to 35/65 instead of 50/50

On the street the front LSD wouldn't count.... I'd imagine on the dirt it would make a world of difference.
