Looks like a VW golf to me, I don't think a left hand drive gtir was ever produced from my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Altho the owner did have a fire extinguisher....im wondering why he didnt quickly use it...waited for it to spread into the cabin compartment b4 he even worked with it....

Any good car thats burns makes me sad. I would have been crying if that was me on the side of the road. But yeah he should have disconnected the battery It look like a oil fire which turned into a electrical fire.

I couldn't sit there and just watch that I would have been batting fire out with my bare hands if that's what it took (have done that in my celica when battery fried wires) certainly wouldn't have been filming it.....................

Definately should have shut the bonnet and closed the doors, it wouldn't have put the fire out, but it would have slowed it down enough so the fire crew could get there to put it out before it engulf the whole car. But i guess you wouldn't be thinking to straight if you were there.

we do have them....
their the R32 Versions....
i've seen about 10 different ones in perth....
