ok guys just a couple of questions...
what causes the light vibration in the steering wheel when at idle and not moving?
my steering wheel has light vibration when stopped at the lights..
but when put in neutral the vibration goes away.
is it something to do with the gearbox? sutffed?
also i have a noisy compressor bearing, anyone else replaced or got this reco'd?
ive heard its a big job as it depends which bearing. pretty sure it might be for the air con, so they might have to open it up and re-gas it???
the car in question is a 96 V6 camry
any help greatly appreciated
thanks

sound is directly related to vibration.

i always notice less 'vibrations' when idling at a set of lights after i've replaced the dizzy cap and rotar button.
if you haven't changed them in a yr give that a go!

how bad is the vibration?
If its not too bad then yeah prob cause by a/c.
If its bad, could be other problems.

The dizzy cap is the thing that the other side of the leads connect to. once you take the dizzy cap off (usually 2 screws/bolts or clips) you'll see the rotor button. it's like a plastic tee shape thing. just pull it right off. no screws or anything.
