Car names Tue, 07 June 2005 13:44 Go to next message
Just got to wondering.
Who here has a name for their pride and joy?
My gf got me onto naming my last car and was wondering whether it was something that most people did or was i just a freak of nature?

heh

anyways my last cars name was Brutus.
I havent really decided on a name for the new car. Brutal was suggested but im not so sure about that..
Maybe Julius Celsior Smile

If you gotta name for him/her scribe it here.

Hi,

My car has always been called "The Eighty Eight". It's been called that since I got it (1982) and everyone (not you Toymodders, but all friends and family) just call it that, and know it by that name.

However, my wife often calls it "The Antichrist". Confused

My 76 ra23 is rolf - because of the way the 18rg idles...'rolf rolf rolf rolf rolf'

and my 2003 corolla is called 'max' short for 'Max Power' (Simpsons)

Girlfriends car (old yellow laser) is 'Bessie' because she's an old girl and gettin' tired (and she can be a cow some mornings to start)

the rona doesn't really have a name, though friends at school changed the words of my shirona to my corona for a laugh. Very Happy
I spose it was known as corona extra with the stickers, rona. The beast, bomb, depending on what it was doing.
Somehow in my yearbook i was voted hoon of the year. I don't know how, wasn't the worst at the school in terms of driving antics maybe just the fact i talked about cars to much.
Whats, even worse is my mum read the yearbook before i did Shocked .

My old XD Falcon was "Betsy" one of my friends named my sprinter "blossom" because she's cherry red but I don't think blossom really suits a drift car Rolling Eyes although I'm thinking about painting it bright pink and covering it in Hello Kitty stickers just P.O. Stephen Brennan then blossom would suit it Very Happy

id forgotten to put my gf's cars' names in.
her 85 corona (which i put sparkly blue racing stripes on) was called penelope or penny.
Now the limits of her creativity are exposed as she has named her new car Mitsy (thats right its a mitsubishi mirage).
Smile

I had a red 260z that I called "'Muhammed Ali" because the front suspension was rock solid so it shook like hell on anything close to a bumpy road!

Drove a sigma wagon for a while which was christened "the stigma"
