hey i was just wonder if any one could shed some light on my
problem?, im using a red & black top 4age fwd (dont know wat
its out of) and it had no loom. so i bought a jdm rwd
complete loom and fitted it to my fwd 4age. im waiting for my
jdm ecu to arrive , as the two others i bought dont work
(ae92 & ae82 ecu's). will my engine run with the jdm loom &
ecu.everything else is done. Crying or Very Sad by the way its in a ae86

I thin it would be a lot easier just to use the wiring loom and ecu from the same motor.

Oh yeah, did you try a search, im sure its been covered before.

as long as u use the ecu to match the loom and injectors

i have had someonme use a fwd loom on a rwd engine and rwd ecu

i think the fwd pulses all 4 injectors at same time

and rwd pulses injectors in pairs

so what happens is u get twice the amount of fuel and engine doesnt run right

but like fkn said get correct loom

it might work but if it doesnt u will be goin round in circles

but if th eloom doesnt match the ecu it can be rewired to suit

i have a red and black bigport 4age ECU, loom (i think i theived 2 plugs from it), dist and AFM from my aw11 in my trailer at home. PM me an offer if you interested, i would prefer to sell all together. Smile

because i still have the fwd injctors in it (i swapped the plugs for them) but im using the rwd loom?

if i change the plugs to suit a fwd ecu ,will the sensors
work ie map sensor? because of the differences between the
too!
