MA70 1986.5 - 1988, after 88 they came with 7M-GTE's I believe, please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Not sure if any 7M-GE Supra's came with manual, but then I've never really looked into it.

Yeah? Never made any non-turbos after 88? Didn't know that. Always assumed they continued producing non-turbo versions... My bad I guess

Don't take my word for it! Don't take what I've said as gosspel please, I'm just going off my own poor memory. I mean, I've never seen any 7M-GE's for sale that wern't 86 - 87, but yeah, I could be very wrong.

Is it a 7M-GE or GTE though? That's what I'd like to know, if any GE's came manual from the factory. I'd imagine they would, but I've never seen one personally.

Yep, it's a 7M-GE, with a W58 box, same box as the MA61 I think.

Oh okay cool, that's good to know. I think the MA61 had a W57 though. I think, my memory is shocking :\

Peeeak, you need to do some research.
Aus Spec MA61's had W58, alloy sandwich plate (maybe *some* rare with steal)
Singapore Spec MA61's had W57
Jap Spec MA61's had W58
(I'm sure there are some variances of the above 2)
GA61's had W55, W57 or W58
MA70's had W58's with steel sandwich plate. This was NA versions.
GA70's had W58's with steel sandwich plate, some probably had W55's too.
I'm sure MA70's after 1988 had 7MGE's, but they probably weren't imported to Aus after 1988.

Ma-70 supras came with either the 7M-GE or the 7M-GTE
1986.5-1992 for the GE, the GTE started in '87.5 (usually 88)
They made manual versions of both cars,
The 7M-GTE engine came with a R154 Gearbox,
the 7M-GE engine came with a W58 gearbox.
Both W58 and R154 will fit any 7M block.
There was a slight change in '89, but its not much to report, slight loom changes, different engine mounts, and a slight power difference.
GA-70s runa W58 as said, but my one for certain has an alloy bell housing (sandwich plate?)

Alloy Bellhousing yes (bellhousing bolts to the motor), but it *should* have a steel sandwich plate (bit in the middle of the gearbox)
It will be plainly obvious if you have a clean gearbox.
