Hi, I'm looking at putting a 4a-ge into my ke70. It looks like I'm going to use a front wheel drive 4a-ge, so I'll have to change the manifold to suit RWD, so I was thinking is there a way to get a turbo on the manifold. I’m on a tight budget, so I'm wondering if there is a cheap way to do this. I know people make custom homemade manifolds, but I have no idea how it's done. I really like turbo's so I wont be looking for much performance gains from it, just thought it would be fun to have a turbo on there.

you will have to either go with an aftermarket computer or the standard gze computer.

a custom exhaust manifold will have to be fabricated along with a dump pipe.

an i/c will also be needed something like a 1ggte intercooler etc.

a turbo something like a t25, t28 or a skyline gt-t turbo (not sure of their actual name)

then i/c piping will have to be custom fabricated.

The injectors will have to be upgraded to atleast gze 365cc injectors.

Im not 100% sure what your fuel pump is capable of but it might be worth making sure it will be able to support the power you wanna make.

I would expect that at a minimum it will cost you somewhere in the order of $3000

You may need a new clutch at this point aswell that could add another 500 buks.

My suggestion would be to buy a 4agze as it will cost you about 2-2.5k to do if the engine comes complete with loom and once you get sick of the power it wont cost you tooo much to upgrade to a turbo setup

Feral4Mr2 is the guy to talk to, the turbo manifold he is working on now he took photos of and its looken real good, he used 12mm plate and t T pieces and 2 90 degree bends.

http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/237058/2

That site shows a picture of his MR2 setup, when he comes online im sure he will link the good photos he has, i cant find them right now

Ill be embarking on this my self, fabricating dump pipe and exhast manifold (not as loggy as a log, not as tuned length as a tuned length) my self. Welding is a very usefull skill when playing with cars, what better way to learn Smile

The other option is to get a kit from japan or a custom fabricated ~$600-$1000
