is this really an 85 model, i was never aware of an ST162 being made in 85 cos that would mean it'd run on leaded petrol, or the modern equivalent rather than plain ulp.

yup it was made in late november and yeh not all cars were meant to run on leaded petrol before 1986
the *performance cars* then were made to run ULP
but yeh use BP ultimate all the time
|

Not wanting to cause any friction --- but ....
That engine oil leak is most likely the rear main seal or the housing that the rear main seals sits in - not cheap to fix and can cause big issues later on. Power steering fluid leaks should be fixed otherwise the rubbers (such as the ones on the CVs etc!) will deteriorate.
But yeah the price sounds about right! Wish more ppl would buy these cars

yeh mechanic told me no point fixing it.. really not worth it..
and the engine probably has heaps of life still goin for it
its under 200,000kms some i knwo have past 350,000kms
but cheers for the head up rwdboy, its a 20 yo car i guess u expect these things =]
doesnt look 1985 tho ehhe
